Mott MacDonald Bulgaria’s specialist structural analysts and engineers use advanced numerical simulations to deal with complex engineering challenges. We deal with seismic loads and other extreme dynamic loads applied to a variety of structures including safety critical nuclear facilities, critical infrastructure, industrial facilities, and high-profile diplomatic assets.

We are currently looking for an adjunct Project Manager who will be providing support to multiple Project Managers (PMs) and smaller projects will managing independently from the proposal (Win) stage through the delivery phase (Do) to completion. Your day-to-day activities as an adjunct Project Manager will focus on ensuring that projects are setup and managed in conformity with Mott MacDonald company policies and procedures. The position has the potential to evolve in the future in a Project/Programme Manager and even further in a Project Principal/Director providing life-long career growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities of the adjunct Project Manager
•Manage the preparation of BID documents at WIN stage
•Assists in establishement and delivery of the projects’ specific objectives
•Be aware of risks, issues and changes all over the projects and assist with keeping control over them
•Provide key support to the project managers and the technical leads with the delivery of commission obligations and internal project performance
•Contribute to timely communications across the project delivery and client teams
•Establish effective communications across the project delivery, client and stakeholder teams
•Implement problem solving and decision making
•Adopt programme and business management systems across project teams
•Control the internal and external commercial aspects of project across a range of contractual arrangements
•Mentor and support colleagues with less practice in project management activities
•Contribute to securing opportunities and repeat business through the high quality of service delivery

Key requirements to the Assistance Project Manager
Essential criteria:
practice and Behavioural expertise:
•Demonstrate some project management and delivery practice;
•expertise and application of project management methodologies;
•practice in prosperously supporting the delivery of projects under supervision but with some responsibility;
•capability to work both independently and as part of a larger team;
•Relationship building expertise –capability to build strong relationships with clients, teams and stakeholders;
•Effective communication with client’s project team and business manager
•Good analytical thinking, organizational expertise and research expertise;
•Essential soft expertise include self-motivation, taking initiative, adaptcapability and flexibility, effective listening, collaboration; insightfulness;
•Computer literacy in Microsoft applications.
•Good oral and written communication expertise in English. Working proficiency in any other major language is highly advantageous.
•Commercial consciousness

Appropriate qualifications:
•A degree in engineering or project management subject

Desirable expertise and practice:
•Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with some structural design practice
•Project delivery practice within the ACE sector or similar technical sectors;
•practice in prioritising own workload and co-ordinating other team members;
•Working expertise of project management software
•Working proficiency in French
•Availcapability to travel internationally, including for short secondments in other Mott MacDonald offices.
