Network Risk assessment . Maintaining all the software and hardware in relation to security . Identify vulnerabilities within a network and create firewall rules to counter them . Configure systems to enhance existing or implement new security features . Identifying current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats . Analyse security systems and seek improvements on a continuous basis . Conduct vulnercapability assessment and penetration testing . Research weaknesses and find ways to counter them . Source and configure tools to monitor security . Report possible threats or software issues . Develop best practices and security standards for the organization . Configures and Administers Linux systems . Basic Configuration and Administration of Citrix XEN Hypervisors . Conducts research and development on infrastructure initiatives to keep in line with up to date technologies . Contributes to a positive and dynamic working environment . Carries out any further tasks assigned by their line manager. REQUIREMENTS . Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or significant field. . Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH, or CISM desired . At least 2-3 years of Proven work practice as a Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer . skills across a variety of security products including firewalls, URL filtering, information security and virus protection is a plus . expertise in managing Windows/Linux Server and Active Directory is a plus . expertise of Bash, Powershell, or Python will be considered an advantage . Able to work in a fast paced environment . Excellent Verbal and written communication skills .
